Siemens wind blades set sail to power 1M+ Scottish homes

The first shipment of Siemens Gamesa’s colossal 350-foot-long (108-meter) wind turbine blades has embarked on its journey from the manufacturing hub in Hull, United Kingdom, to the Moray West offshore wind project located off the coast of Scotland.
Nine out of the 180 blades earmarked for the 882-megawatt (MW) wind farm have been loaded onto the Rotra Mare transporter ship, poised to bolster Scotland’s renewable energy infrastructure.
